N11_AVH09C1 - NOAA-11 AVHRR Atmospherically Corrected Surface Reflectance Daily L3 Global 0.05 Deg. CMG

The product description in this landing page is designed to provide information about the AVHRR Atmospherically Corrected Surface Reflectance Daily L3 Global 0.05 Deg. Climate Modeling Grid, version 6.0 product from the Advanced Very-High-Resolution Radiometer (AVHRR) instrument on-board the ESA/EUMETSAT's MetOp-B satellite platform.

The Long-Term Data Record (LTDR) is a NASA Making Earth System Data Records for Use in Research Environments (MEaSUREs) project at the LAADS DAAC that produces and distributes a set of land surface climate data records (CDR). CDRs provide a 40+ years' time-series of well-calibrated, consistent set of daily measurements that are used to analyze and understand global climate variability and change. The LTDR project serves as an important bridge in that it helps connect data derived from the NOAA and European Space Agency's Advanced Very-High-Resolution Radiometer (AVHRR) to the EOS Moderate resolution Imaging Spectroradiometer (MODIS), the Suomi National Polar-orbiting Partnership (SNPP) Visible Infrared Imaging Radiometer Suite (VIIRS), and Joint Polar Satellite System (JPSS) VIIRS missions.

The AVHRR Atmospherically Corrected Surface Reflectance Daily L3 Global 0.05Deg CMG product provides the following measurements: Surface reflectance for band-1 (640 nm) band-2 (860 nm), and band-3 (3.75 µ), Brightness temperatures for band-3 (3.75 µ), band-4 (11.0 µ), band-5 (12.0 µ) besides quality assurance (QA) information and angle information for Solar Zenith, View Zenith, and Relative Azimuth angles. It also provides the scan timeframes as well.

The LTDR v6.0 AVH09C1 collection's record is available for the following timespans for each instrument source:
