Description 2015-04-26T16:33:00Z
Our nrt1 system is experiencing high latency today for Terra data beginning about 07:10 GMT and Aqua data beginning about 6:20 GMT due to a system issue. A temporary fix has been made, but it may take a few hours for processing to catch up. Latency for the nrt2 system, nrt2.modaps.eosdis.nasa.gov, is normal. Also there may be further latency today due to planned EDOS (our L0 data source) network outages between 1 and 7pm today.

Also as a reminder: On Monday 4/27 between 10:00 and 11:00am EDT the following servers will be shutdown for scheduled maintenance:
  • lance-modis.eosdis.nasa.gov
  • nrt1.modaps.eosdis.nasa.gov
  • firms.modaps.eosdis.nasa.gov

On Wednesday 4/29 between 10:00 and 11:00am EDT the following servers will be shutdown for scheduled maintenance:
  • lance2-modis.eosdis.nasa.gov
  • nrt2.modaps.eosdis.nasa.gov
  • firms2.modaps.eosdis.nasa.gov

Each host is expected to be down for ten minutes, however unexpected issues may extend the downtime to as long as an hour.
